Snowflake Earrings Tutorial

Hi Everyone,

This is Maansi here again. This time I am bringing you a very easy and a beginners project. I call it the Snowflake Earrings

The reason I wanted to do this project is that a lot of people are daunted by hand woven beaded projects. They feel it is very difficult to do beading. But I feel everyone can create stunning projects with just some simple beads.

And this project is a perfect beginners project. Not only is it simple, but it doesn't require too many supplies.

We are going to be making this simple earrings using the mixed pearls that I had received as a part of my DT kit.

Here is the video on how to make this project

And here are the final pics of some of the earrings that I created. I was so happy making these that I actually made a bunch of these earrings in different colours.

One Sheet Mini Album Tutorial

Hello folks,

Its me neha here today!!
So our Designers have done fabulous job with tutorials and inspiration posts last month..
If you have missed don't forget to check them even now.

So today I am sharing a quick one sheet mini album tutorial. This tutorial is very basic and it can be completed in just 30 minuted. It is also great fro upcoming summer workshops.

I have tried my best to give you step by step guide, however do excuse me for any mistakes as its my first time making a tutorial, and I promise to improvise in coming posts.

Lets get started.
Supplies used

You can click on link next to supplies to purchase supplies from our store.

  1. 230 GSM iris cardstock: Cardstocks
  2. 10*10 inch pattern paper pack: Pattern paper
  3. fevicryl glue, red liner tape, foam tape/foam square: Adhesive
  4. corner rounder, tim holtz scale, non stick scissors, penknife, bone folder: Tools
  5. magnets and washers: Magnets
So gather your supplies and lets get started

STEP 1: Take one sheet of 12 by 18 inch size iris 230 GSM. And score it as shown in diagram
You can use black or kraft cardstock. but I recommend not to use anything heavier than 220-230 GSM for this project.
and if you don't have 12 by 18 inch sheet, than you can take 2 sheet of 12 by 12 inch.. stick one next to other and trim as per size needed.

STEP 2: Cut the lines in between each bigger fold from top and bottom row.
You will cut only the part which I have marked with stripes in above picture and where I have put scissor icon. Yes this is the only part of cardstock we cut for this project, rest everything will be converted into an album. There is minimum wastage of cardstock in this project.

STEP 3:
Taking corner rounder, round of all corners of album. This is optional if you don't have corner rounder punch you can skip this. But I personally like rounded corners in such small albums.

STEP 4:
Attaching magnets and washers using red tacky tape. I do not recommend using any kind of wet glue while attaching magnets and washers as it gets messy and it reduces magnetic power of magnet.
Red tacky tape is quickest and cleanest way to attach magnets and washers

STEP 5 & 6:
I got bit carried away once my base was ready and started sticking pattern papers and forgot to take picture of papers I cut.
So for each panel you cut your pattern paper 1/8 inch smaller than  size of your base page. And stick them in co ordinating manner
For the front of album I used a layer of fabriano celeste cardstock below pattern paper just to give it a pop!

STEP 7:
The paper pack we used has 2 sheets of co ordinating die cut elements. so all I did was select some elements and stick them using glue or foam squares.

Check below pictures for final look of the album

And here is the small video walk through for you to see the album

Bookmark Or Tag Tutorial

Hello everyone!
Tulika here..... Today I am very excited to share my project with you all as this includes my very first video tutorial!
I got few tissue napkins and MDF bookmarks (which can be use as tags too) in my DT kit from A1 Craft and rest products I used from my stash.
I decided to make a vintage style and a floral theme designs on them.

I was very nervous while shooting the video but after completing them quiet happy with the outcome... what do you think??

Here is my video tutorial :

Dont forget to give some likes on my tutorial.
and below are images of the tags I have shown in video tutorial.

In the tutorial I forgot to mention that I was not happy with the embossed sentiments so I wrote them back with white colour paintbrush.....and also gave a border to the gear clock embossed part to highlight that.

Below are the products I used from store
