I am back with another earring tutorial. By now you would have guessed that I love the pearls and the seed beads that are available at A1 Craft. Even though I promise myself that I will use the other supplies, I still end up going back to the pearls and seed beads.
This time I am going to be making these beautiful daisy flower earrings. These again are very simple and easy to make (Though they look complicated). And the supplies that you need are just seed beads and small pearls
So gather the supplies and lets get started. I have used Seed beads no (18084 bronze gold) and glass pearls (GP1 - black 3mm)
Method
Step 1 - Take around 60 inches length of beading thread and put your needle onto the thread. Take 36 seed beads onto the thread. Leave around 6 inches of a tail.
Step 2 - Take your needle again through all the beads starting from the 1st bead. This will create a circle. At this point you can tie the tail to the ring and secure it.
Step 3 - Once you have tied the thread then go through the next bead so that you are away from the knot. Taking one seed bead go through the next 2 seed beads. Thus you will be putting one seed bead and going through 2 beads of the first circle.
Step 4 - Once you have finished putting all 12 seed beads as row 2, come out of the first bead of Row 2. Add 1 pearl between each of the 12 seed beads.
Step 5 - Once you have finished adding pearls between all the seed beads your thread needs to be coming out of the first pearl of the last row. Now you need to add 2 seed beads between each of the pearls. Kindly refer to Diagram 1

Step 6 - After adding 2 seed beads between the pearls you need to be exiting or coming out of the first set of 2 seed beads of the last row. Then you will add 2 seed beads and go through the next set of seed beads of the last row. Dont worry if the seed beads are not centered and they look a bit on the side. It will be aligned when we get to the next row. Kindly refer to Diagram 2

Step 7 - At the end of Step 6 you need to come out of the 1st seed bead of the last row. At this point you have 2 seed beads on top of each of the pearl. Add 1 seed bead and come out of the 2nd seed bead of the first set. Then take 5 seed beads and come out of the 1st seed bead of the 2nd set.
In this way you will add 1 bead between the 2 seed beads of the earlier row and 5 seed beads between the 2 sets of seed beads. Kindly refer to the diagram 3

Step 8 - Once you have added all the seed beads, you need to start the next row by coming out of the 4th bead of the set of 5 beads. You will add a pearl and take the thread to the 2nd bead of the next set of 5 beads and directly come out of the 4th bead. In this way you will skip the 3rd bead. What this does is it gives a nice point or a triangle look to the last row.

Step 9 - Once you have completed this row you will see that your flower is coming in shape. We will be adding one last row of beads. Coming out of the top of the triangle or the 3rd bead of the 5 bead set, you will take 7 seed beads. Then you need to take the thread out of the next top of the triangle. (or the 3rd bead of the 5 bead set)

Step 10 - This is the last step in completing this flower motif. In this step you need to go through all the beads again, only skipping the center bead of the 7 bead set. Meaning you skip bead number 4 in every set. This will ensure that the shape of the petal has a nice pointed tip.

Step 11 - When you finish the entire motif you have an option of creating a loop on one of the corners of the flower. This gives it a neat look. If you don't wish to do this that too would be fine. Just attach the earring hook to one of the petal. You would need to knot and secure your thread endings and clip away any excess thread.
So in this way you have created a beautiful earring. You could also use the same pattern and create a pendant.
I have also done the same pattern with 3 rows of pearls. The number of rows would decide the size of the motif or flower.
