Flip n Fold Travel album

Hi peeps, Lekha here.
Hope you all had a fun time during "festival of colors".
I am back with my post using the Retro Traveler pattern paper .
Sit back, relax and enjoy the post ( warning: photo heavy post)
I have made a flip & fold album with a magnetic closure.

Lets start with the process.
Cut following piece of chipboard
A: 6'"x 5.5": 2 pieces
B: 6"x 1.5": 2 pieces
C: 6"x 2.5": 1 piece

Adhere the chipboard pieces as shown in the pic on a white card stock. I have kept almost half inch extra margin on all the sides so as to fold and wrap the chipboard for the album cover.

I have used the red tacky tape for adhering all the card stock folds. You can use any adhesive but my personal choice is red tacky tape as it gives a clean finish to the album cover.
I have trimmed the pattern paper almost 1/8th inch smaller than the original chipboard sizes so as to mat it perfectly. Also, I have inked the edges of the pattern paper using the Archival coffee ink to give a vintage look to the album pages.
Since the album has a magnetic closure, I have stuck the magnets on both the flaps using red tacky tape. Next step involves adhering all the pattern paper mats to both sides of the chipboard album cover.
Once the pattern paper is adhered the album takes a shape.

Next step I have created these pages for the structure of the album.
Cut three card stock in three sizes :
 "A" { 11 3/4" x 5 1/4" },score and fold to get the page at 5 1/4"x 5 1/4"x 1 1/4"(spine)
 "B" { 11 3/8" x 5 1/4"}, score and fold to get the page at 5 1/8"x 5 1/4" x 1 1/8"(spine)
"C" { 10 4/5" x 5 1/4"}, score and fold to get the page at  5" x 5 1/4" x 0.8"(spine)
For the flip pages stick them in the order of "C" spine on to "B" spine and both on the "A".
When all three are stuck at the spine it looks like a book . I have the spine width "C" at 0.8" as  I planned to place the black shadow box. You can increase the number pages and decrease the spine width.
(ref. pic)

The retro traveler pattern paper pack has lots of gold foil die cuts which are great to be used as embellishments for adding the spark and depth to the album. Here are few pics showing the same. For few die cuts I have adhered them to the metallic card stock and than fussy cut the design, with few foam tape has been used to create little dimension to the album page. Have inserted mini cards and tags to write.

To add little more dimension I have stamped the cover page and other pages using the script stamp.

Here are the flip pages.

Here is look when album is opened.
Would love to hear from you . Enjoy the slideshow exploring the flip and fold album.

 Hope you liked the album.
Thanks for stopping by.
Keep crafting

Netted Pearl Necklace

Hi,

This is Maansi here. I am here with my first project for A1 Craft.

Before I get into the details of the project I would like to mention that the supplies provided by A1 craft are the finest. They have the best grade glass pearls and the seed beads are Czech glass seed beads. So getting onto the project. I have taken glass pearls in two sizes and one colour of seed beads. Also for this project you will require beading thread,  beading needle and a toggle and clasp.

Check link below for supplies:
Glass pearls: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2181819845390513&type=1&l=2fc7804467

Seed beads: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2009737029265463.1073741969.1406612012911304&type=1&l=58bcc87cc5

This necklace is something which is a simple netted design. Netting is a form of beading which creates a beautiful lacy and net kind of beaded project. As it's been made using beading thread it's very lacy and drapes beautifully.  It is not stiff as some of the beaded projects tend to be. Below is the beading pattern of this necklace for those who wish to try out this pattern.
Finally here are the pictures and close up of the completed necklace.

Hope you like this inspiration and do give it a try. Wishing you a wonderful day today.

Rose garden scrapbook

Hi peeps

Malaika here from ITS ALL ABOUT PAPER-DESIGN STUDIO. Am here, with my first video as A1 Crafts design team 2019.
This album i have left the brown cardstock as it is and popped it over with A1 crafts paper pad.

Brown is the color of  wood, earth, stone, wholesomeness, reliability, elegance, security, healing, home, grounding, foundations, stability, warmth, and honesty, it is a natural, neutral color that I love. So the album is left brown and on this sits rose garden paper pack just like a queen.

List of supplies used:
Kraft Cardstock: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1681643442074825.1073741871.1406612012911304&type=1&l=a5bcd4f67b

The album measures 6"* 6" with 3 interactive pages inside. Kraft card stock is used here and adorned with beautiful rose garden paper pack.. a lot of cutouts are from the paper pack itself ...as its pre cut cutouts i have saved time on fussy cutting.

Some flowers and die cuts are from my stash.

I also have a video for you all to see the interactive flips and folds, the pockets and tags and all other embellishments.

I hope you like my work... Would love to  hear your comments below.

Thank you
Much love

I got few tissue napkins and MDF bookmarks (which can be use as tags too) in my DT kit from A1 Craft and rest products I used from my stash.
I decided to make a vintage style and a floral theme designs on them.

I was very nervous while shooting the video but after completing them quiet happy with the outcome... what do you think??

Here is my video tutorial :

Dont forget to give some likes on my tutorial.
and below are images of the tags I have shown in video tutorial.

In the tutorial I forgot to mention that I was not happy with the embossed sentiments so I wrote them back with white colour paintbrush.....and also gave a border to the gear clock embossed part to highlight that.

I started my journey with candle making and over a period of time I have made home decor products using art forms like madhubani, warli, crochet, decoupage, mix media and quilling.

And last but not the least, let me introduce you to our coordinator, She has been a strong support for A1  Craft for a long time now, and I am pleased to give her additional responsibility in this new venture of ours.

Hello all,
Madhuri James (Madhuri Rao) this side. My crafting journey started way back in my school days when I used to trade winkwink my paintings and crafts with the notes(trust me writing notes especially 2nd and 3rd language were always boring for me). My teachers and classmates always appreciated my works (only when creativity was the criteria 😅) and the journey began. As a teenager, I started making cards and tie dye the handkerchiefs to earn my pocket money 😁. Secured 1st place in Diploma in Handicrafts (recognized by Maharashtra Government) and worked in couple of schools as creative head/supervisor. It all started with 1 dedicated cupboard and now I have 250 Sq ft. area all to myself to set up my workstation known as Shalom Creations.
At present, I am the visiting faculty for vocational skills at one of the NGO's in Mumbai known as Rangoonwala and I am an hardcore Activist. But creativity is something which comes to me naturally (Thanks to my Genes 😁). Have been teaching macrame weaving, Warli Painting, Nature Painting and many other types of arts for over a decade now.
I love anything and everything where I can use all my creative juices. To be precise, I am more into scrapbooking but again wherever the papers and scissors are used, you will find me trying that art 😃. I am not tech savvy and thus often when it comes to uploading my work on my page, I lazy around. But still u can find my works (hopefully in future) on my FB page.

So that's all of our design team members and co-ordinator.

Introducing our Designer Team for 2019

Hello Everyone,
As you all know we had open call for design team for year of 2019, and we received tremendous response from all over India. It was heartening to see so many crafters enthusiastic to work with us.
However since we have only few spots for design team this year, it took us quite a while to finalize all members.
So without further delay let me star introducing myself and my team to you all.

Dr. NEHA SHAH

Nothing can better summarise my journey than the Walt Disney’s famous quote “All dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them”. A journey which had its seeds planted in my subconscious during my super hectic medical years. Yes, I am a qualified doctor by education and profession (though a part time, currently). Crafting was my only escape from the reality, where I was able to express myself so freely and happily. The joy it brought was immeasurable! During this time, the supplies in Indian crafting scenario were limited and it was both difficult and expensive to get foreign brands which would upset me. With the intention to help and encourage fellow crafters and artists, I took the plunge and started a small home setup by name A1 Crafts. This was 2011. Fast forward 2019, here we are with a proper brick and mortar setup in not just one but two cities, Mumbai and Pune. This wouldn’t have been possible without our loyal customer base who believe in our quality and reliability.

Phew! What a ride it has been! To take a step further, we are pleased to announce our very own design team. The primary purpose of this team team is to bring out the best creative ideas to stir your minds.
