Flip n Fold Travel album

Hi peeps, Lekha here.
Hope you all had a fun time during "festival of colors".
I am back with my post using the Retro Traveler pattern paper .
Sit back, relax and enjoy the post ( warning: photo heavy post)
I have made a flip & fold album with a magnetic closure.

Lets start with the process.
Cut following piece of chipboard
A: 6'"x 5.5": 2 pieces
B: 6"x 1.5": 2 pieces
C: 6"x 2.5": 1 piece

Adhere the chipboard pieces as shown in the pic on a white card stock. I have kept almost half inch extra margin on all the sides so as to fold and wrap the chipboard for the album cover.

I have used the red tacky tape for adhering all the card stock folds. You can use any adhesive but my personal choice is red tacky tape as it gives a clean finish to the album cover.
I have trimmed the pattern paper almost 1/8th inch smaller than the original chipboard sizes so as to mat it perfectly. Also, I have inked the edges of the pattern paper using the Archival coffee ink to give a vintage look to the album pages.
Since the album has a magnetic closure, I have stuck the magnets on both the flaps using red tacky tape. Next step involves adhering all the pattern paper mats to both sides of the chipboard album cover.
Once the pattern paper is adhered the album takes a shape.

Next step I have created these pages for the structure of the album.
Cut three card stock in three sizes :
 "A" { 11 3/4" x 5 1/4" },score and fold to get the page at 5 1/4"x 5 1/4"x 1 1/4"(spine)
 "B" { 11 3/8" x 5 1/4"}, score and fold to get the page at 5 1/8"x 5 1/4" x 1 1/8"(spine)
"C" { 10 4/5" x 5 1/4"}, score and fold to get the page at  5" x 5 1/4" x 0.8"(spine)
For the flip pages stick them in the order of "C" spine on to "B" spine and both on the "A".
When all three are stuck at the spine it looks like a book . I have the spine width "C" at 0.8" as  I planned to place the black shadow box. You can increase the number pages and decrease the spine width.

The retro traveler pattern paper pack has lots of gold foil die cuts which are great to be used as embellishments for adding the spark and depth to the album. Here are few pics showing the same. For few die cuts I have adhered them to the metallic card stock and than fussy cut the design, with few foam tape has been used to create little dimension to the album page. Have inserted mini cards and tags to write.

To add little more dimension I have stamped the cover page and other pages using the script stamp.

Here are the flip pages.

Here is look when album is opened.
Would love to hear from you . Enjoy the slideshow exploring the flip and fold album.

 Hope you liked the album.
Thanks for stopping by.
Keep crafting
